Our Assist service provides an emergency alarm system which you can use if you ever get into difficulties at home.
We also offer a range of other services to help you stay safe at home and at work.
Assist alarms
Our Assist alarm and monitoring service offers you help and security in your home at the touch of a button.
It is designed to summon help, using your telephone line, if and when you need it – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
All you need to do is press a button on the unit or the radio button worn as a pendant, badge, or bracelet.
Our response centre staff will then know who you are, where you live and will be able to talk to you.
How does Assist work?
You can activate the alarm unit from any room in your home using the radio button you are wearing.
The microphone on the alarm unit is so sensitive it will pick up your voice from a distance, even if you are in a different room. You do not need to pick up the phone.
When you press the button, it automatically dials the 24-hour Assist service, and connects you to our staff.
They will then send the necessary help and talk to you until it arrives. This may be phoning for medical assistance, the emergency services or a contact you have nominated, such as a friend or relative.
Alternatively, we can provide a mobile response service for which there is an additional charge.
Assist mobile response
The Assist mobile response service is for clients without enough key holders living nearby in the case of an emergency, or whose key holders do not want to be called during the night or are away regularly.
There is a small additional charge for the service.
If you get into difficulty we will visit you as quickly as possible, make you comfortable and offer reassurance, and take any necessary action.
If you need to go to hospital, we will ensure your home is secure before leaving and inform your next of kin.
Besides the Assist emergency alarm service, we offer a range of other services to keep you safe and secure at home.
Assist key safe
A key safe is a quick and easy way of keeping a spare door key in a secure but easily accessible place in case of emergency.
The small container is fixed next to your front door and has a combination lock.
The code can be shared with emergency services, Assist or home care staff, to prevent delays in reaching you.
Assist Telecare service
We can also provide a Telecare service. This is a range of non-intrusive sensors which monitor your health and your home environment 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The sensors will alert a carer or our response centre at any time of day or night if a problem arises. Telecare also allows carers to take a safe break.
Assist lone worker monitoring
Our Assist lone worker monitoring service can provide security for people who work alone and face potentially risky situations.
It can also offer reassurance to employers of staff who work alone.
Our Assist service is easy and straightforward to use, allowing lone workers to be monitored by mobile phone.
In the event of an accident or dangerous incident, the Assist response centre will alert the emergency services.
