By direct debt
The easiest way to pay your rent is to set up a direct debit. We offer payments on the 1st and the 15th of the month. You can download a direct debit form here
By standing order
Use a standing order from your bank or building society straight to your rent account. Our bank details are as follows:

Please put your rent account number as the transaction reference. This is nine digits long and starts with a ‘1’
You can pay online by clicking here and you will be transferred to Barnet Council’s online payment service.
Electron cards and American Express are not accepted by this service.
Using a credit or debit card on 0845 356 3456*. You will need your nine digit rent account number to use this automated service, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
*Calls to an 0845 number is made up of two parts: an access charge and a service charge. The service charge to an 0845 number is an additional cost of up to 7p per minute.
At shops with ‘paypoint’ outlets
Please phone us on 020 8080 6587 and we will send you a letter with a barcode on it that you take to a PayPoint outlet (where this logo will be displayed).
By post – Please note that cheques and postal orders will no longer be accepted from 1 January 2020. Barnet Homes recommends payment by Direct Debit. You can download a form here.
All payments by crossed cheque and postal order must be made payable to ‘London Borough of Barnet’ and sent to:
Cashiers, LBB Finance, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
Your address and nine digit account number must be written on the back of the cheque or postal order.
