/, News/Our Domestic Violence services get cash boost for another year

Last week, we received the fantastic news that our Domestic Violence One Stop Shop and Refuge will be able to deliver its vital services for another year.

Officers from Barnet Council bid for  money from the Domestic Abuse fund on our behalf, from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

Our Barnet Homes Domestic Violence One Stop Shop and refuge actually received £146,996 and is now able to run for a 3rd year running.

Housing Minister confirmed 63 projects across England to share £22 million to help domestic abuse survivors.

Housing Minister Heather Wheeler said:

“Domestic abuse is a devastating crime, which shatters the lives of survivors and their families. It is our duty to ensure survivors can seek help by providing the support they need to restart their lives.

Through providing specialist accommodation and access to employment, this fund will make sure local authorities and charities can provide a strong safety net for anyone facing the threat of abuse in their own home.”

If you are in need of advice on domestic violence issues, please come and visit us on Thursday 21st December, where we will have an information stand the Jewish Women’s Aid, pop-up stall at Brent Cross Shopping Centre from 10am.
