Are you a graduate looking for work that is energetic and challenging, but will also be part of tackling homelessness?

We’re the Housing Options Service at Barnet Homes. We provide housing & homelessness advice to anyone at risk of homelessness. We aim to prevent homelessness, and we work with our clients to find realistic solutions to end their homelessness.

We’re a young service with a well-established, two year graduate programme. We have a high retention rate, and many of our graduates secure permanent jobs at the end of the programme.

In the first year as a Graduate Trainee with us:

you’ll complete housing needs assessments on the front-line with the aim of providing early intervention advice to prevent homelessness. You’ll move onto casework after 6 months and complete coursework and an exam after 12.

By the second year as a Graduate Trainee with us:

depending on performance, you’ll move out of the Housing Options Team after 12 months to take on more complex & challenging casework. You’ll learn on the job and will receive full training in housing law from the homelessness charity Shelter.
