Barnet Council has launched a three-month consultation to seek your feedback on strategies to improve housing and tackle homelessness across the borough over the next five years.

Councillor Rozenberg said: “I am passionate about defending the rights of our renters and increasing the standard of housing in our private rented sector. I know that this is important for our residents, and I want to make sure that all our families can have a decent home to live in. Everyone deserves to have a roof over their heads, and we will do our best through these strategies to put an end to homelessness in our borough.”
The Housing Strategy’s main themes are to improve standards in privately rented housing, deliver more affordable homes, promote independence, tackle homelessness, and ensure housing is safe and secure.
The Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy main themes include preventing homelessness, finding accommodation for those at risk of it, helping rough sleepers, and reducing the need for temporary accommodation.
