Tim Mulvenna, CEO

Tim joined the Group at the start of February 2018 from London & Quadrant Housing Trust, where he is Group Director of Customer Services.

Tim has worked for L&Q for several years, most recently as Customer Service Director, responsible for L&Q’s Customer Service Centre, who deal with all resident enquiries, including Maintenance, Housing Services, Customer Relations, Income Collection and Leasehold Management. 

Derek Rust, Development & Growth, Deputy CEO

Derek has been with Barnet Homes since it transferred from the Council in 2004 and oversaw the transfer of the Council’s Homelessness service in 2012 and was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in December 2015.  Derek is directly responsible for development of new homes and asset management, as well as the growth of new companies within the Group, such as Bumblebee. 

Mike Gerrard, Group Director of Resources

Mike joined the Group on the 15 September 2016 as Interim Group Finance Director. He is now the Group Director for Resources, responsible for Finance, Organisational Development, IT, PR & Communications and Executive Support. Mike began his career as an Auditor for Arthur Andersen and then worked for AstraZeneca as a Management Accountant and PwC Consulting as a Consultant. Mike worked for The Riverside Group as a Project Director, Willow Park Housing Trust as Director of Resources, and most recently The Co-operative Academies Trust as Finance Director.

Julie Riley, Group Director of Care & Support

Julie joined the Group in early 2014 and has responsibility for all of the Your Choice services and Sheltered Housing, Floating Support and Assist within Barnet Homes. In Spring 2018 Julie assumed the responsibility for Business development and Community Engagement, as well as Extra Care in her Group Director, Care & Support role.

Elliott Sweetman, Group Director of Operations & Property

Elliott has been with Barnet Homes since 2006 and is directly responsibility for Customer Access, Tenancy & Estate Management, Leaseholder Services, Repairs & Maintenance, Asset Management, Capital Investment Programmes, Health & Safety, Income Collection, Financial Inclusion and Homelessness & Housing Options. Elliott is also responsible for the delivery of operations for Opendoor Homes, our Registered Provider. Elliott has a strong track record of creating, inspiring, and leading ambitious and high-performing teams to deliver great quality services to customers, whilst achieving significant cost efficiencies.
