Your Choice Barnet’s Flower Lane service held an event to celebrate Autistic Pride Day recently.

The annual event, which takes place on the 18th June, celebrates what people with autism bring to our communities and help them to recognise their potential.

One of the most significant aspects of the day is that it is not run by charities but by autistic people themselves. The overall aim of the day to show people that autism is a difference rather than a disability and that people on the spectrum do not need to be pitied.

Flower Lane provides specialist support to people on the autistic spectrum; our Mill Hill based day centre offers a wide range of services and activities.

We hope everyone at Flower Lane had a great time and enjoyed the celebrations!
