We are delighted to share news of some vital social value investment into our community by one of our fire safety contractors, Vallectric.

Vallectric reached out to local community group Barnet Community Projects at The Rainbow Centre in Dollis Valley. The Rainbow Centre is a community hub run by amazing staff and volunteers. Director, Steve and Manager, Sarah, along with their team of volunteers, offer a wide variety of services to local people including a school holiday club where the children who attend receive a hot meal as well as a lunch club for elderly people.

Vallectric recently donated a huge £3,000 to the centre; £2,000 to the foodbank, and £1,000 for activities for children during the summer holidays.

A big part of The Rainbow Centre’s week is the Thursday foodbank where Manager Sarah has seen the number of people attending rising week on week.

Sarah said “we would all like to say the biggest thank you to all at Vallectric for this extremely welcome donation. It couldn’t have come at a better time for the foodbank and will also allow us to organise a coach trip for local children during the summer holidays. I would like to personally thank Michelle for the support she has shown for the centre and we will definitely be keeping in touch.”

Vallectric’s RLO, Michelle McGovern commented “We are over the moon to be able to support The Rainbow Centre, the work Sarah, Steve and all the ladies and gents who help out put in is incredible!”

All of us at The Barnet Group would also like to say a big thank you to Vallectric.
