The Barnet Group were happy to help support the Barnet Council Positive Activities youth woodwork project run by Groundwork London where Quinn London Ltd and Griffin Scaffolding London donated and facilitated the materials for the children to make the planters/raised beds from scratch and learn some skills along the way.
Jason Reid from the London Borough of Barnet said “A very warm thank you to The Barnet Group, Quinn London and Griffin Scaffolding London for donating the scaffold boards used for the wood workshop over the Spring Holidays, delivered by The Loop on behalf of Positive Activities. Ten young Barnet residents, transformed the boards into planters that will be used in our Community Garden at Canada Villa Youth Centre. Generous contributions like this help Positive Activities to outreach to more young people in the borough. The result is a wider range of exciting and engaging projects.”
