The Barnet Group has donated £1,000 from its Covid-19 Recovery Community Fund to this year’s Young Barnet Christmas Campaign.
The Young Barnet Foundation members support the most disadvantaged children and young people living in our borough including refugee children and young people and those in care.
Since launching their annual Christmas Gift Campaign in 2018, the Foundation has distributed 3,360 gifts to children and young people living in the borough via local charities, social enterprises, and community/faith groups.
You can find out more about the campaign, and what the Foundation do at their website here.
Tim Blanc, Barnet Homes’ Head of Community Engagement said “We would like to thank the sponsors (contractors) of our Covid-19 Recovery Community Fund in supporting this rewarding and much-needed initiative, that helps to relieve some of the financial pressures placed on families. No child should not go without, especially at this festive time, so it’s important we all do our part where we can. Children should feel special at this time of year, and we hope this donation will contribute to the Young Barnet Foundation’s aspiration of ensuring no child in Barnet goes without a gift at Christmas.”
The Barnet Group’s Covid-19 Recovery Community Fund is sponsored by Vallectric, Wates, R Benson, WG Wigginton, Soundcraft, Procom, Raytell, ATE, Edmunson Electrical and H&K Fire Engineering, RJ Stearn and HFS.
