We are delighted to  support Live Unlimited, a new charity launched to help Barnet’s looked after children (children and young people leaving the care system) fulfil their dreams and aspirations with a donation of £10,000 funding boost from The Barnet Group.

Live Unlimited is a registered charity set up by Barnet Council based on the vision of providing equal opportunities, support and inspiration to all of Barnet’s 334 looked after children and 221 care leavers.

The charity will complement the extensive services and support the council provides to every looked after child, and will fund the sort of additional activities which families might provide for their children outside of school hours such as music or sport lessons, trips and expeditions.

Chief Executive of The Barnet Group Tim Mulvenna said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Live Unlimited and the essential work they will be doing with young people in our community”.

Barnet Council Chief Executive and Chair of Trustees, John Hooton, said: “I am delighted The Barnet Group has made this generous donation which will help make sure each child who spends time in our care has the same life chances as everyone else.

“We’re looking to work with other companies and organisations who would like to come onboard as founding partners as well as to offer work experience and make donations.

“Like other charities, people are able to donate money and organise their own fundraising events in support of Live Unlimited.”
