Your Choice Barnet provides a range of services to people with a range of learning and physical disabilities. We support more than 200 people and are proud to help them take control of their lives through personal budgets and individual plans. We also offer consultancy and training to other organisations.
Your Choice Barnet is part of The Barnet Group, a local authority trading company set up in February 2012.
You will come with an understanding of physical or learning disabilities. You may have a disability yourself or have experience of disabilities either personally or professionally.
You will be aware of the role of Boards and have a real commitment to Barnet. You will also have an interest in developing social care policy.
We hold four to five meetings and at least one away day each year. We will also expect you to come to significant company events, such as our Annual General Meeting, and to training and development sessions. That means your time commitment will be 10-12 days per year.
