It was the first weekend of December which meant that Christmas Fairs all over the land are in full swing!

More locally in Mill Hill, Flower Lane got the festive season off to a cracking start with their annual Christmas Fair.

Flower Lane staff, parents and carers really went to town, or should that be Lapland, to create the perfect winter wonderland for everyone who attended. There was a kid’s lucky dip, mulled wine cake, a puppet show and most importantly, Santa’s Grotto.

At the same time as all the festive fun happening at the Fair, the event’s aim was to raise awareness and funds for autism. Flower Lane managed to raise a fantastic £2,395!

The monies raised were a combination of £1854.50 from the event plus £541.00 came from Waitrose, as Flower Lane are on their ‘green token’ charity list. So next time you are in a local Waitrose make sure you put your little green token into the Flower Lane slot.

The delicious Indian food available on the day was donated from Savera foods in Mill Hill and cakes were made by staff and families.
