We’re proud to announce that Barnet Homes has been judged number 19 in 24 Housing’s Top 50 Landlords Awards 2014.
There are over 1,700 social landlords in the UK. To be judged in the Top 20 of those who entered for this prestigious award is something to celebrate.
We’d like to thank our colleagues, partners and residents who worked so hard to help us achieve this accolade.
This is what the 24 Housing judges said about us: “The judges were impressed by the breadth of Barnet Homes’ work which goes far beyond just housing. Through its sister company Your Choice Barnet, for example, the ALMO provides specialist day services for adults with autism and profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as a respite service, supported living and community services for people with learning disabilities. This year saw the first new council homes in Barnet for more than 20 years, the first in a development programme that includes 40 homes and a 50-bed extra care scheme. The ALMO’s achievements this year also include securing lottery funding for a project targeting Black African communities at risk of high rent arrears and the launch of a new charity to turn around a disadvantaged neighbourhood.”
