The 12th September 2013 saw the first Let2barnet Landlord Forum. This was the first landlord event organised by Barnet Homes since the successful Let2barnet Launch in Oct 2012 and the first Landlord Forum since the Barnet Council organised the event in September 2012.

The Forum was well attended by landlords and agents depsite pouring rain and trafic chaos on the north circular. Notting Hill Housing Trust & London Strategic Housing Association had stalls at the event, and we had representatives from Housing Benefit and Environmental Health.

Speakers included: Stuart Coleman who spoke about Barnet Homes response to the impact of Welfare Reforms; Belinda Livesey, Environmental Health spoke about initiatives for bringing empty homes back into use; and Paul Shamplina from Landlord Action spoke about his 25 years experience of dealing with problem tenants.

All the speakers were well received and feedback from landlords after the event was positive. Plans for the next Landlord Forum are already underway. If you have any feedback or suggestion for our next Landlord Forum please let me know.
