Recently the Colindale Community Trust One Stop Shop on Grahame Park was flooded, just shortly after they had fully refurbished the building. The flooding caused water damage to the carpets, walls and ceiling tiles.

The charitable  venue in the heart of the Grahame Park estate provides independent advice and support, welcoming everyone who comes through their doors. It also helps a lot of children living on the estate with their academic schooling.

Extensive works were required for the rooms to be brought back to a useful condition. Our contractors, Masher Brothers agreed to carry out these works free of charge, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. They have also pledged to provide textbooks and writing material to the children who use the centre for studying.

Kieran O’Byrne, Disrepair Manager at Barnet Homes said, ‘Masher Brothers worked weekdays as well as over the weekends to get it done quickly. We’d like to say a very big thanks to them!’

Bina Omare, Chief Executive, CCT said, ‘The community office is now a vibrant site providing a range of services for the community after having been closed over the Covid-19 lockdown. It feels new and warm and the social impact Masher Brothers has had is huge, as the space is very welcoming and brings a new life to the area. We could not have achieved the level of decorations required ourselves and are very grateful!’

Dan Allen Senior Operations Manager of Masher Brothers said, ‘We are committed to adding Social Value to their stakeholders lives. We invest in people and their environment, which will lead to a better quality of life, new skills, and opportunities.
