Last summer, a local church worked with one of our contractors, Rydon and the inter-faith community, to create a community garden for all local people to enjoy.

Rydon built our new extra-care scheme, Ansell Court which is located opposite the church.

Matthew Offord, MP, was also in attendance at Mill Hill East Church last year for the symbolic planning of three fruit trees to celebrate diversity and inter-faith.

This summer, Mill Hill East Church is delighted to have completed its community garden and is holding an official opening and family fun day to celebrate.

The church’s community celebration will include live music, barbeque food, gardening stalls and games for all the family.

It’s a free event, just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend. If you are in the area on Bank Holiday Monday, please take the time to support this community event, enjoy the lovely gardens and celebrate the special diversity Mill Hill East Church supports.

Mill Hill East Church Community Gardening Opening and Family Fun Day is on Monday 27th May, Salcombe Gardens from 12-4pm.
