BOOST@184 is the community location for the BOOST Childs Hill project. It opened its doors to a new permanent location on Cricklewood Lane exactly one year ago.

The shop from which BOOST@184 was delivering services was however, a little basic and in need of some modernisation.

This month, our generous contractors Morgan Sindall, completed an overhaul of the shop. The structural changes to the premises they made will make a huge difference to the services BOOST@184 can offer residents from the shop.

To mark BOOST@184’s official re-opening, staff and customers were recently joined by the Mayor of Barnet Councillor Reuben Thompstone and our contractors Morgan Sindall.

Jason Hannell, Morgan Sindall Project Manager said, “We put new flooring in, changed around the kitchen and even installed CCTV! It’s been a complete transformation and we are pleased to have been able to make a valuable contribution to the community. The main thing is customers will feel comfortable.”

BOOST@184 is aimed at helping residents from Cricklewood, Childs Hill and the Whitefields area near Brent Cross find work.

This project has already had a big impact in Burnt Oak and Childs Hill – the team see around 1,000 people a month and have helped more than 600 people into work since 2015.

If you are local to the Cricklewood/Whitefields area and need help to access work and training, you can visit the team at the newly refurbished shop: 184 Cricklewood Lane, NW2 2DX from 9am – 5pm on Monday to Friday.
