Last weekend, the local community showed up in good numbers for the Childs Hill Fit & Active Community Day. Sponsored by Barnet Homes contractor, D&B Facades and hosted by The Hope of Childs Hill (THOCH) they provided ‘old skool classic’ activities that proved very popular with all ages!
Skate boarding, baseball, basketball and hula hooping were all on offer and it wasn’t just the children enjoying themselves.
The day was part of THOCH’s overall aim to create opportunities for, and transform the lives of the residents of Childs Hill and the surrounding area. With support and attendance from Barnet Homes, Barnet Council and Better Leisure, it was a great opportunity for local residents to find out more about opportunities in the local community they can access.
THOCH have been running their very popular Wheelio cycyle project on the weekends since last Spring – many Barnet Homes residents have been able to take up the opportunity of free bike hire and cycling lessons.
