Mill Hill East Church is hosting a free summer event  this weekend celebrating diversity and multi-faith – everyone is invited!

The Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) has teamed up with Mill Hill East Church and Mill Hill East Synagogue to hold a community fun day on Sunday 29th July from 2-5pm, taking place at Mill Hill East Church, Salcombe Gardens, London NW7 2NT (on the corner with Devonshire Road).

The event will celebrate faith, diversity, and cooperation in the local community and is free to attend for local residents of all ages.

Activities happening at the Community Fun Day at Mill Hill East  include:

  • Bouncy castle, soft play, face painting and a children’s entertainer,
  • An interfaith tree planting ceremony featuring local faith leaders and Rt. Hon. Matthew Offord MP,
  • The opportunity for each participant to paint their own square for a mosaic that will be put up outside the Church, representing interfaith collaboration in the community – the mosaic will also be added to by other local groups over the coming months
  • Free light refreshments will be available. This event is open to people of all faiths and none and is a great chance to meet your neighbours and contribute to a lasting symbol of harmony and working together to benefit a shared community.

Please invite your friends, family and anyone you know to come along!

Email neighbour@mhechurch.com with your name and who you are bringing, to give us an idea of the numbers to expect – you can come for as little or as long as you like.

If you would like to help run the event as a volunteer, please get in touch with Mike Silverstone at mike@jvn.org.uk.
