The Fit and Active Barnet (FAB) campaign launches today. So… what is FAB about?
FAB is all about helping residents in Barnet to increase physical activity into their daily health routine.
Not only is being active key to keeping your heart healthy, reducing your risk of serious illness, it is also a great way of socialising and getting involved with your local community.
FAB is having two launch events that are open to Barnet residents to attend:
- Wednesday 18th July, Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Better Leisure will have an information stand all day, on the ground floor just outside Marks and Spencers.
- Saturday 21st July, Better Leisure Centres will also be having an open day in the leisure centres listed below to launch FAB. Plus, there will be free activities!
Burnt Oak Leisure Centre: Football, Tennis (Great British Tennis Weekend), Basketball, Badminton
Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre: Water Workout, Coffee Morning seminar, diabetes risk assessments
Finchley Lido Leisure Centre: Family Fun Swim + Free Swim to all under 16
Hendon Leisure Centre: Climbing
Church Farm Leisure Centre: Free Swimming
