Benson, one of Barnet Homes’ contractors recently carried out some much needed repairs work to our domestic violence refuge.

The communal lounge and office in the refuge had floors that were urgent need of repair, but the cost of replacing the floor was not originally included in the funding for the refuge, which it received in March 2017.

Benson offered to not only replace the floor, but not charge for labour on a repair job worth at least £2,500. The new floor has opened up the communal living room in the refuge and is going to make such a difference to the environment of the residents living there.

We are extremely appreciative of the generous donation from Benson – every little bit helps at the refuge, which plays a significant part in transforming the lives of its residents.

2018 also marks the 2nd anniversary of the refuge, we will update you on any events we are planning to mark this special milestone in the delivering of domestic violence support services.
