The Loop@Grahame Park is only a year old – but has got off to a cracking start by winning a national award.

The Loop launched in 2016 and is located on the Grahame Park Estate. They offer a free collection service of unwanted by re-usuable furniture to all Grahame Park residents.

We are very pleased to share the good news that The Loop@Grahame Park have won the Furniture Re-use Network’s Re-use Organisation of the Year award.

The Loop supports residents in Grahame Park and surrounding areas by collecting old furniture from households, businesses and fly-tipping sites.

These are then repaired and recycled in the workshop and sold to local residents at low prices.

This is often the only way some people can afford to furnish their homes. The re-use service has collected more than 1,700 items from households, businesses and fly-tipping sites and successfully sold over 1,250 items.

The Loop also offers training and volunteering opportunities – for some local people who have been unemployed long-term, it has been a lifeline in terms of learning new skills and gaining confidence.

If you are a Grahame Park resident and are interesting in volunteering opportunies at TheLoop@GrahamePark contact katrina.baker@groundwork.org or call 0300 365 9960.
