The Barnet Group supported National Apprenticeship Week by promoting success stories of its apprentices past, present and future.

We capped off this week of apprenticeship action by attending the ‘Class of 2018’ Graduation Ceremony at The Strand on Friday 9 March.

It was the first apprenticeship graduation ceremony of its kind to be held, so it was particularly special that four of our former apprentices plus our apprentice lead, Jacqui Jones attended. All four of them are all still working with us, which is fantastic.

2016/17

  • Lisa Lang (Neighbourhoods)
  • Ellie Boggins (Your Choice Barnet Flower Lane)
  • Shirmel Brandy (Gas Team)
  • Anaruby Soobrayen (Rental Income)

One of the graduating apprentices, Ellie Boggins of  Your Choice Barnet, was approached to become an ambassador and she has accepted. This role involves attending careers events in schools and colleges to promote the benefits of an apprenticeship scheme.

The ceremony, hosted by National Apprenticeship Service, awarded apprentices from all over the country and from varied organisations with a certificate. Jules Pipe, Deputy Mayor, Planning, Regeneration and Skills, was also in attendance at the ceremony.
