YCB staff who rejected Unison’s call to strike this week are continuing to support customers across YCB’s six schemes on the third day of strike action. As last week, specialist services Flower Lane and Rosa Morison are forced to close, but again some of their customers are being supported from Valley Way respite service.

Customers of CommunitySpace day service, BILS day service, Supported Living services and Valley Way are having services provided as usual with minimal disruption to their routine and family lives.

Julie Riley, Director of Care and Support, says: “We are due to meet with Unison and ACAS on Monday 22 September for further discussions.”
