Last Friday staff across The Barnet Group held their own version of the Great British Bake-Off to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

There was no Paul Hollywood judging, but we had our own team of colleague judges, including two from the caretaking team, who awarded points to come up with the winning bakers.

However, there were no ‘losers’! The bake-off was all in a good cause that raised £300 all together – Children in Need helps thousands of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

The staff at our autism day service Flower Lane, who have recently won an Everyday Heroes Award from The Barnet Group, used their prize money to fund a BBC Children in Need party for service users as well as raising £60 for Children in Need.

So far this year, staff at The Barnet Group have raised over £2,000 for charitable causes.

BBC Children in Need has a fundraising hub, full of information about where the money raised will go here.
