We’re definitely heading for one of the wettest June months on record, but the sun managed to come out at just in time for the Flower Lane Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations on Friday 17 June.
As always, Flower Lane customers, alongside their parents and carers were all there to participate the Queen-themed afternoon, which included food, music and a very, very special Royal cake.
Following on from the Flower Lane gardens getting a makeover from volunteers of Brent Cross developers Hammerson plc last year, their outdoor space has had another great addition in the form of outdoor exercise equipment.
Diana Issacs, centre manager at Flower Lane summed up their royal festivities: “It was a beautiful afternoon to celebrate the Queen and Flower Lane events are always very special. It’s also great to see that we were successful in bidding for funding for outdoor gym equipment, worth over £5,000.”
