Your Choice Barnet’s CommunitySpace was given a spuce-up by partners Hammerson as part of a volunteering event at the centre in Edgware.
Coinciding with celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday, customers enjoyed an afternoon of music, food and drink while volunteers were hard at work.
Hammerson PLC has been running an annual Community Day since 2008 working with local volunteering organisations and community groups.
The Barnet Homes grounds maintenance team had already worked hard the day before to start the preparation work and cut back the over-grown shrubs.
The gardens are now all ready for the customers to start a gardening project which will be extremely beneficial to them. The hard work combined with a party for the Queen’s birthday ensured everyone had such a great day accompanied by a great sense of achievement.
