Valentine’s Day is all about matters of the heart. So staff at The Barnet Group were wise to choose Valentines Day as the organisation’s chosen day to raise heart health awareness as part of National Heart Month.

The Barnet Group’s staff dressed down and wore red to raise  almost £100, for the British Heart Foundation.

Did you know that every three minutes in the UK someone suffers from a heart attack, of which 30% of which are fatal? As part of The Barnet Group’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy staff are encouraged to make healthier lifestyle choices.

It’s a good opportunity to remind everybody that heart conditions can affect anyone of any age or gender. Please take the time to visit The British Heart Foundation’s website where there are free downloadable booklets to get you to start thinking about heart health for you and your family.

National Heart Month is part of the British Heart Foundation’s vision to fight for every heartbeat through raising money and awareness that contributes to treatments and research, vital for transforming people’s lives.
