Barnet Supported Living Service was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 6 and 7 August 2014. The report was published on CQC’s website on 26 February 2015.

Barnet Supported Living Service has five schemes across the London Borough of Barnet, providing care and support to people with a learning disability, mental health needs and autism. Three of the schemes are self-contained flats and two are shared houses. All schemes are staffed 24 hours a day and overseen by a registered manager.

Julie Riley, Director of Care and Support, said: “We are very disappointed with the CQC Inspection Report, and refute absolutely the ratings awarded. In mid-February we invited the CQC back to re-inspect the Service. Since the inspection was carried out six months ago we have instigated a detailed action plan addressing the areas for improvement identified in the verbal debrief last August although a number of the areas in the written report were not fed back at this time. I am pleased to confirm that the majority of actions identified at that time have already been put in place including improvements in management of medication management, service management and hygiene, in advance of our formal report of action to the CQC required by 27 March 2015.”
