Barnet Homes has been supporting its customers and the wider community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have recently supported the St Barnabus Church Foodbank with a £500 donation.
Helen Shannon from the church said: “Food poverty has grown especially for families and we wanted start a foodbank that would maximise the benefit to them. So we are open to clients on a Monday 12.30 to 2, which helps families whose kids have eaten them out of house and home over the weekend. The Foodbank is on the High Road to easy to access and our opening hours mean that if people’s kids are at school they still have plenty of time for the school pick-up.”
“The £500 given means that everyone will get a full bag, because it allows us to top up on the items not donated. It will also help us by basic PPE like gloves, aprons and facemasks.”
