Barnet Council are closing both their counters for dropping in documents for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims. The Barnet House counter’s last day is this Monday 7 October and Burnt Oak Library’s is Monday 14 October.

From this point on, all documents can only be submitted by email to the Benefits@barnet.gov.uk email address or by post (London Borough of Barnet, PO Box 2015, Pershore, WR10 1PT). There will no longer be any facilities for customers to hand documents in by person to a member of staff anywhere in Barnet.

There are four computers being placed in the main reception area of the Colindale office (2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, NW9 4EW) to enable customers to make new claims online claims for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and Universal Credit and a member of the Customers Services should be on hand for customers who may need assistance with making the online applications. This service is not for handing in documents.
