Earlier this year Barnet Homes went into partnership with charity Art Against Knives (AAK) to deliver a programme of work to help young people at risk of violent crime.

The programme has so far managed to help 80 young people in the N2 area of Barnet.

Through AAK and its partners like schools, young people have been able to access jobs, mentoring, music and physical activity programmes such as self-defence classes from East Finchley Combat Academy.

Katy Dawe’s AAK said: “It’s been amazing working in partnership with Barnet Homes and the local community to respond directly to the needs of local young people. The partnership is a great example of how by working together we can support young people in achieving their goals and staying safe.”
