Barnet Homes’ officer completes marathon for mental health charity

Home/Barnet Homes, News/Barnet Homes’ officer completes marathon for mental health charity

For the past three months, on top of her busy day job, Barnet Homes Officer Cathy has been busy training hard for the London Marathon, which she completed on 23 April in 6 hours 38 minutes! Well done Cathy.

Cathy is particularly proud of her achievement because she is raising money for three charities close to her heart (Stray Cat Rescue and World Animal Protection), including ReThink Mental Illness because of the important work they do.

Rethink is a charity whose aim is to challenge the attitudes towards people with mental illness and to support sufferers of mental illness, and their families and carers, to lead full lives.

To recognise and support Mental Health Awareness week from 8 – 12 May, we are helping Cathy to embark on a final push to increase the money she has raised for the charity so far.

If you would like to donate towards this cause, you can do so here via her justgiving page.
