Next time you go down to Whetstone Waitrose and get a green token, try and use it to support Live Unlimited. (Ask for some if the cashier doesn’t give you one)

Live Unlimited has been selected as one of three charities chosen as part of Waitrose’s Community Matters scheme for the month of August.

Live Unlimited launched earlier this year. Its primary aim is to help Barnet’s looked after children (children and young people leaving the care system) to fufil their dreams and aspirations. It’s a registered charity set up by Barnet Council based on the vision of providing equal opportunities, support and inspiration to all over Barnet’s 334 looked after children and 221 care leavers.

When you consider 2 in 5 care leavers in Barnet have mental health issues and 220 of looked after children are of school age – you can see there is a definite need for this charity.

Each month Waitrose donates £1,000 to good causes in the local area. All you need to do is request a green token after each shop and drop it in the Live Unlimited section of the box! The more green tokens each charity gets, the larger the proportion of the money they receive.

Try and support Live Unlimited on your trips to Waitrose in Whetstone this month.

Thank you.
